ROBOTICS PROJECTS
AT HOME TINKERER

here's me putting together my
ender 3 pro 😍 by creality
I am actively working to move my career in the direction of robotics. Particularly something involving the automation of traditional industries like gardening & agriculture, food industry services, commercial fishing, and the like. I am very inspired by the work of Lauren S. Moores, the Data Queen, and Kristian Kloeckl.
I have always been interested in robotics as far back as LEGO Mindstorm in elementary school Robotics Club, and I have been applying for a front desk position at Boston Dynamics since university (joking, not joking)... BUT a whole new world has opened for me since getting a 3D-printer at home.
displayed here are some of my personal hardware and robotics projects i am currently working on. i am using a combination of Arduino and raspberry pi in each project.

The
Cyclopsys
A Cyclops Walking System

The Cyclopsys is a nightmarish quadruped robot that I am currently building. I created a RasPi-mounted mini projector that acts as a monitor display. Using Raspbian OS an eyeball is projected on a large dome from the inside giving the Cyclopsys some serious Uncanny Valley vibes. Using an FPV camera the bot will wonder about avoiding obstacles looking for people. Once it finds one it will approach until it is close to the target giving an ocular scan. It will continue to stare at the target until they move out of view. It will then look for the next interactor.

To be continued...
I am mid-project and am just beginning to work on the walking portion of this robot. I will be updating this page as I make progress.
lately I have made many types of multi axis robotic arms to practice real world automation sequences. these studies might seem bland but i hope to leverage these skills in future projects.
A note taking robot I am working on creates ineligible scratch as it struggles to form words with a dry erase marker on a note board (above). Small 4 and 5-axis arms I made to practice control sequences (below). I hope to have a burger made and served by robots soon.
